Lobby League: featuring Assetto Corsa powered by Sky Broadband – Race Recap

This past weekend saw the return of the Lobby League Powered by Sky Broadband – this time taking to the track with Assetto Corsa, and shining a spotlight on the rising stars of women’s sim racing. With a mix of returning talent and fresh qualifiers, the grid was packed with competitors hungry to make their mark.

Four teams, each captained by their respective team captains,, took part in a three-race format across iconic tracks – Daytona, Monza, and Hockenheim – with points awarded to drivers based on their finishes. The team with the highest cumulative score across all races would take home the crown…and the cash.

The Line-Up :

  • Team Harrie – Zahra Shahsavari, Katrina Edmunds & Martine Smith

  • Team Sunpi – Lily Jeffs, “Shakstar” & Clara Bucciacchio

  • Team Cadaea – "Miyuki Panda", Shanna Raj & Terri

  • Team Ebonix – Grete Lajal, Aisha Dior & Amber Jones

The races were broadcast live from the Sky Guild Gaming Centre, hosted by Frankie Ward who was accompanied by team captains, Ebonix and Sunpi, alongside commentary from George Morgan, and Nina-Jade Paul. Guild also welcomed back Jess Ball, a familiar face having competed in the Women’s Esports Final, this time taking to the role of interviewer as brought viewers the best bits from behind the scenes throughout the event.

Race 1: Daytona Drama

Shanna Raj started strong, grabbing pole position in the opening race. But it was Katrina Edmunds who stole the show, making moves from P3 to take the chequered flag in dominant fashion. Grete Lajal showed her class with a steady drive to P2, while Lily Jeffs rounded out the podium with a P3 finish.

Race 2: Monza Madness

Monza delivered the chaos and overtakes it’s known for. Clara Bucciacchio snatched pole position, but once again Katrina Edmunds made light work of traffic, storming through the pack from P5 to P1, taking back-to-back victories. Shanna Raj impressed once again with a P2 finish, while Clara held on for P3 after a tough battle through the chicanes.

Race 3: The Final Push

With P2, P3 and P4 all still up for grabs, the final showdown was wide open. A true midfield brawl unfolded – but it was karting star Lily Jeffs, Shakstar and Clara who shone under pressure. A strong finish from all three helped Team Sunpi edge ahead of Ebonix in the final team standings.

That’s now two wins from three for Team Harrie, following her triumph in the inaugural Lobby League Fortnite tournament. With the Marvel Rivals finale up next on August 9th, she’ll be eyeing an overall Lobby League series victory.
