Guild's PMSL EU Spring 2025 Journey: Pushing Forward With Purpose
The Guild Esports PUBG Mobile has concluded its campaign at the PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL) Europe Spring 2025, marking our third international PUBG Mobile tournament and another significant milestone in our mission to elevate competitive mobile gaming across Western Europe.
Building on Strong Foundations
Following our debut at PMSL Fall 2024 and our appearance at PMGC London 2024, this Spring split represented an opportunity to build upon the competitive and cultural foundations we've established. Supported by our strategic partnership with Tencent, Guild remains dedicated to bridging the gap between PUBG Mobile's elite-level competition and new audiences in Western markets.
Our vision extends beyond individual tournaments. We're committed to making mobile esports feel as thrilling, story-driven, and globally accessible as traditional PC and console titles, helping to establish mobile gaming as a premier competitive platform.
A Revamped Roster with Championship Potential
Defolt, Spike, WAGNERZADA, Guild Social Media Manager Folabi Giwa, Tree and Jakey linking up in Istanbul
Entering the Spring season, we implemented strategic changes to our roster, carefully balancing veteran experience with emerging talent to create a formidable competitive unit.
New Additions:
Defolt (Vadym Kositsyn) ๐บ๐ฆ - Brought veteran composure and tactical acumen, with an established reputation across European circuits for consistency and deep game knowledge
Spike (Martin Kvyatko) ๐บ๐ฆ - Joined as one of the region's most promising young fraggers, offering explosive firepower and immense potential
These additions complemented our existing core of Jakey, Tree, and Wagnerzada, creating a squad that entered PMSL Spring with renewed energy and elevated expectations.
League Stage: Demonstrating Our Competitive Edge
Competing in the challenging Group A, Guild navigated a demanding league stage against top level opposition. While maintaining consistency across all matches proved challenging, the team demonstrated clear competitive strengths, particularly in mid-game fighting scenarios and mechanical execution.
The squad's resilience shone through in the final stretch of the league stage, where clutch performances secured our qualification for the Knockout Stage. This achievement marked a Top 20 finish and successful progression in just our second PMSL split, a testament to the team's rapid development and competitive growth.
Knockout Stage: Fighting Until the Final Match
The Knockout Stage presented a brutal test of endurance and skill, with 20 teams competing for just 16 Grand Finals slots across 12 high-stakes matches. Following a challenging opening day, the team demonstrated remarkable resilience, rallying with consecutive strong performances mid-tournament that brought us within striking distance of qualification.
Entering the final matchday, Guild sat tantalizingly close to the top 16, separated by just a few crucial points. Despite a determined final effort that showcased our competitive spirit, we concluded the tournament in 19th place, missing out on the top 16 to qualify for the Grand Finals.
In a field of this calibre, the margins between success and disappointment proved razor-thin. However, the growth demonstrated throughout the tournament was undeniable, laying a strong foundation for future campaigns.
Beyond Tournament Placement
While Grand Finals qualification eluded us this time, the tournament reinforced our commitment to long-term objectives to the PUBG Mobile ecosystem that extend far beyond individual results.
We strive to develop and showcase premier PUBG Mobile talent from across Europe, and leverage our expertise to introduce PUBG Mobile to new audiences .Additionally Positioning mobile esports as a powerful, rapidly growing frontier in competitive gaming
Our investment in PUBG Mobile represents more than tournament participation, it's about building a sustainable ecosystem that elevates the entire mobile gaming landscape.
Looking Ahead: PMSL Fall 2025
With another international campaign completed, our focus now shifts to preparation for PMSL EU Fall 2025. The team will look to sharpen strategic execution, improve consistency, and return to competition stronger than ever.
Guild's PUBG Mobile journey represents just the beginning of our mobile esports ambitions. We're committed to this competitive space for the long term, and we're here to stay.
PMSL EU Spring continues with the Grand Finals starting on Friday, 4 July, where the top 16 teams remaining in the competition will compete for the title. Whatโs more, the top 4 teams will qualify for the PUBG Mobile World Cup, which takes place during the Esports World Cup in Riyadh this summer.
