What's Next for The Lobby
The Lobby League tournament is part "The Lobby Powered by Sky Broadband", which aims to create more opportunities and collaborative spaces for women in the gaming industry. This successful inaugural event represents a promising start to Guild's commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in esports.
The momentum continues with the next Lobby League tournament featuring FC25, with qualifiers scheduled for April 26 and finals taking place on May 10. This will be followed by tournaments in Assetto Corsa - which will have live finals from the Sky Guild Gaming Centre, and one other tournament title to be announced.
Beyond tournaments, "The Lobby Powered by Sky Broadband" encompasses several other initiatives:
The Lobby Live: Community-focused events at the Sky Guild Gaming Centre, the first of which featured an insightful panel discussion with notable creators and industry experts Talia Mar, Shizelle, Eneini Bambara-Allan, and Cadaea sharing their journeys and experiences in the gaming industry.
The Lobby Studio: Access to professional facilities at the Sky Guild Gaming Centre for women in the gaming community, providing resources typically unavailable to many aspiring creators.
Lobby Game Days: Skill development sessions where women gamers can improve their abilities alongside Guild professional players and coaches, bridging the gap between casual and professional gaming.
The overwhelming success of this first tournament sets a strong foundation for future Lobby League events and initiatives, as Guild Gaming continues to lead the way in supporting and showcasing women's talent in competitive gaming.
